The Large Magellanic Cloud as seen by Spitzer/MIPS. This three-color image - created from SAGE MIPS mosaics at 24um (blue), 70um (green), and 160um (red) - has been created with IRSA's Montage mosaic engine.
IRSA and the SSC announce the release of the Winter '08 second data delivery from the Spitzer Legacy Program "Surveying the Agents of a Galaxy's Evolution" (SAGE). The delivery includes an
update to the Winter '07 catalogs, along with the first MIPS mosaics and IRAC time stamp images. Cutouts of MIPS images in both FITS and JPEG format are also available.
IRSA and the SSC also announce the first release from the Spitzer Legacy Program "Far-Infrared Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey" (FIDEL). The delivery includes MIPS images and cutouts for all three of FIDEL's fields: the Extended Chandra Deep Field South (ECDFS), the Extended Groth Strip (EGS) and the GOODS-North area.

Sky coverage in Galactic coordinates of IRSA's image sets, excluding the large-area/all-sky surveys 2MASS, DENIS, IRAS, and USNO-B. The zoomed-in image shows the color mapping (upper right) of the main figure, grey representing one coverage and dark pink representing eight. The inset in the lower right of the zoomed-in figure shows the 2MASS Extended Mission image coverage (not included in the main image), where areas of higher coverage are shown in darker, bluer colors. Regions of special astrophysical interest on the main figure are marked.
