Examples of Common Mistakes in Table Converter

I: Tables that cannot be unambiguously parsed.
This is the most dangerous error, since incorrect data may be returned.

Description Input Table Reformated Table
Table is column-delimited format but the column values are misaligned.

II: Tables failed to be parsed.

Description Input Table Error Message
Space is used as data delimeter but also exists in the data that makes parsing impossible.

III: Binary files.

Description Input Table Error Message
Table is written in binary format.

No viable data was found in this file

IV: Good tables, but no coordinate/object information.

Description Input Table Error Message
No RA,Dec (or glon,glat etc.) columns or column interpretable as an object name.
nocoords.tbl
We cannot identify columns to use as coordinates or a column to use as object names/locations
