GOODS Spitzer and Ancillary Data
The Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey (
GOODS)
aims to unite extremely deep observations from NASA's Great
Observatories (
Spitzer,
Hubble and
Chandra), ESA's
XMM-Newton and from the most
powerful ground-based facilities. The aim is to survey the distant
universe to the faintest flux limits across the broadest range of
wavelengths.
GOODS HDF-N Field
You can get a close-up map of a region by clicking
within the red or green
area on either image, or by typing a coordinate below.
The third delivery (
DR3) of the Spitzer data from the
GOODS Legacy Project, are available here using spatial
and visualization tools. IRSA is serving the GOODS
Enhanced Products
(Fall 2005: 20051229_enhanced_v1) data from the Spitzer Science Center
(SSC) public data
staging location, as well as the V1.0 public release HST-ACS ancillary
data.
The sky coverage is shown as
red footprints for
Spitzer data, as
green footprints for ACS data
and as
yellow footprints for MIPS catalog
sources on the above
2MASS sky images.
Either type in a coordinate or click within the red outlined region to get
a close-up of the area; the size of the search is adjustable. Search
results will include cutout images cropped to the search box as well as
the associated original images which overlap the area of interest.
Also available are GOODS image "cutouts" using IRSA's
Cutouts Service, which is a general tool to
create single or multiple small FITS (and JPEG) image cutouts of data sets archived at IRSA.
