GLIMPSE3D Source Lists Data Release for Three Areas

1. Overview
=====================================================================

This GLIMPSE3D data release is comprised of IPAC Tables of
the GLIMPSE3D Catalog and Archive for 3 areas (centered at l=330, b=-2 deg;
l=330, b=+2 deg; and l=335, b=-2 deg). The
SSC pipeline version used for the GLIMPSE3D data in this data release 
is S14.4.0 from data taken September 2006.

The highly reliable GLIMPSE3D Catalog (GLM3DC) consists of point sources 
that are detected at least twice in one band and at least once
in an adjacent band and a S/N > 5 cut for the band with the two
detections. There are also faint and bright flux limits on the
Catalog entries. The more complete Archive (GLM3DA) has less stringent
criteria, namely two detections in any bands, those detections
having a S/N > 5. The IRAC data were bandmerged with the 2MASS All-Sky
Point Source Catalog. See the GLIMPSE3D v1.0 Data Products & Data Delivery

B. Catalog & Archive Files in IPAC Table Format

   The GLM3DC*tbl and GLM3DA*tbl files have been gzipped. The gzipped size totals 
   about 0.5 Gigabytes. Unzipped they are about 2.5 Gigs.

   There is one Catalog and one Archive file for each of the three areas.
   Thus there are 3 Catalog IPAC table files and 3 Archive IPAC table files.
   The Catalog and Archive files have the same format.

   GLIMPSE3D.notes - Notes on the source designation, close source flag, source quality 
     flag and flux calculation method flag used in the source lists.

   The IPAC Table validation tool (http://irsa.ipac.caltech.edu/applications/TblReformat/)
   was successfully run on these GLM3DA and GLM3DC IPAC Tables.

3. Miscellaneous Information
=====================================================================

A. These nominal GLIMPSE3D Survey regions are  l=329 through 330 deg, b=+1 through +3 deg,
   l=329 through 330 deg, b=-1 through -3 deg, and l=334 through 335 deg, b=-1 
   through -3 deg. Due to the nature of the survey mapping, there are areas outside of
   the nominal survey region that were observed (and may have incomplete coverage). 
   We provide whatever sources that were detected and pass our source list criteria
   from outside the nominal survey area.

B. There is a small amount of overlapping area between the GLIMPSEI and GLIMPSE3D surveys.
   Only the GLIMPSE3D data is presented in this data delivery.
