Spitzer data from the Legacy surveys of the Large Magellanic Cloud "Surveying the Agents of a Galaxy's Evolution" (SAGE) and "SAGE-Spectroscopy: The Life Cycle of Dust and Gas in the Large Magellanic Cloud" (SAGE-Spec) are available here using spatial and visualization tools.
SAGE: The Third delivery (DR3, FINAL) from SAGE. See the data products document for details on all SAGE data products. IRSA is serving the SAGE Enhanced Products data from the Spitzer Science Center (SSC) public data staging location.
  • The SAGE IRAC and MIPS catalogs are available using IRSA's Catalog Search engine.
  • Available here using a spatial search are IRAC and MIPS image mosaics and tiles. SAGE IRAC mosaic coverage is shown above in cyan, and SAGE MIPS mosaic coverage is shown in red.
  • The positions of the 1.2 deg x 1.2 deg IRAC and MIPS image tiles are shown in the SAGE tile map.
  • Also available are SAGE image "cutouts" using IRSA's Cutouts Service, which is a general tool to create single or multiple small FITS (and JPEGs) image cutouts of datasets archived at IRSA.
  • The SAGE IRAC offset position mosaics (centered at RA=82.25d, Dec=-45.95d) are available here.
  • Additionally, IRAC observation time stamp image mosaics are available for download only (not searchable).

  • Available here using a spatial search are IRS spectra (both staring mode and extended source maps) and MIPS-SED spectra. SAGE-Spec IRS mapping spectral cubes are shown above in orange, SAGE-Spec IRS staring mode spectra are shown in yellow, and SAGE-Spec MIPS-SED spectra are shown in magenta.
  • Additionally, optical and IR photometric data have been combined with SAGE-Spec spectra to produce SEDs, also available through spatial searches.
  • Users wishing to search on the SAGE-Spec ID (SSID) number instead of coordinates or object name may do so using the SAGE-Spec ID Search catalog.
