The 3rd delivery of the Spitzer Space
Telescope Survey of the Taurus region, called,
"Taurus 2: Finishing the Spitzer Map of the Taurus Molecular Clouds"
(
Taurus),
a Legacy III Project, are
available here using spatial and visualization
tools. The Taurus Spitzer Legacy project has mapped ≈44 square degrees of the Taurus
star-formation region using the IRAC and MIPS cameras aboard the Spitzer Space
Telescope. IRSA is serving the Taurus
image Enhanced
Products data from the Spitzer Science
Center (SSC) public data
staging location, from the October '08 Data Release 3 (
DR3) delivery (20081007). DR3 includes
MIPS and IRAC image mosaics, which are served here using
spatial search (using the form below).
IRSA also has made available the September 2008
catalog using
IRSA's
Catalog Search engine.
Also available are Taurus
image "
cutouts"
using IRSA's
Cutouts Service, which is a general tool to create single or multiple small FITS
(and JPEGs) image cutouts of datasets archived at IRSA.
The Taurus images are represented as overlays on the ISSA 12um image above: IRAC in
red, MIPS 24um in
cyan, and MIPS
70um and
160um mosaics in
yellow.
