The module DNTOFLUX converts the data cube DN values to electrons. The output files are dntoflux.fits and dntoflux_unc.fits. These are not available in the Spitzer Heritage Archive, but can be generated by running CUPID.
The data conversion process is as follows:
1. The data from the input files (sample values and their uncertainties) are multiplied by the gain, namely 4.6 electrons/DN. The gain is by default identical for all four IRS read-out channels.
2. The FITS header keyword BUNIT is set to the new unit (electrons) in the output files.
