Cool Stars 14 - Submitted Abstract # 272 This version created on 05 October 2006 A comparison of Fe XVIII and Fe XIX, EUV to X-Ray Line Ratios of Active Stars using Chandra Grating Observations Priya Desai, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics Nancy Brickhouse, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics Ronnie Hoogerwerf, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics Andrea Dupree, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics Recent Fe XVIII and Fe XIX line measurements of Capella (Desai et al. 2005) have shown significant discrepancies between modern theory and observations for the X-ray and EUV resonance lines. We investigate these lines further by analyzing a sample of six active stars (Algol, AB Dor, Eps Eri, Capella, HR 1099, and Lambda And) observed with the Low Energy Transmission Grating Spectrometer. The sample covers a range of coronal temperatures and will help shed light on these puzzling disagreements. ----------------------------------
