There are 2 versions of the densities fields as derived in Scoville etal 2013. Both 3d fits files are based on the voronoi tesselation -- one has density per deg^2, the other density per comoving Mpc^2. These are the total surface densities of galaxies and one may want to subtract out the average at each redshift or ratio to the average. This LSS mapping made use of the k-band selected object catalog and photz's making use of the 2012 ultra vista survey in addition to the other COSMOS photmetry -- see Ilbert etal 2013 also include is the mask file so one may consider only non-masked spatial pixels. In each 3d fits file the 3rd dm is redshift, but the slices have variable width based on the photz dispersion (see paper). The array below give the center redshift and the redshift boundaries for each successive plane in the 3rd dimension.
