COSMOS 3 GHz Multiwavelength Counterpart Catalog Definitions

Overview

The catalog lists the counterpart IDs, properties, as well as the individual criteria used to classify the radio sources. For more information, see Smolcic et al. (2017).

Name Intype Units Description
ID_VLA int Identification number of the radio source
ra double deg Right Ascension (J2000)
dec double deg Declination (J2000)
MULTI int Single- or multi-component radio source (0 or 1 respectively)
CAT_CPT char Counterpart catalog, either "COSMOS2015", "iband", or "IRAC"
ID_CPT int Identification number of the counterpart
RA_CPT_J2000 double deg Right Ascension (J2000) of the counterpart
DEC_CPT_J2000 double deg Declination (J2000) of the counterpart
SEP_VLA_CPT float arcsec Separation between radio source and counterpart
P_FALSE float False match probability
Z_BEST float Best redshift
FLUX_INT_3GHz double microJy 3 GHz integrated radio flux density
Lradio_10cm double log W/Hz 3 GHz rest-frame radio luminosity
Lradio_21cm double log W/Hz 1.4 GHz rest-frame radio luminosity
L_TIR_SF double log L_sun Infrared luminosity (8-1000 micron rest-frame) from star formation. If the source is classified as HLAGN, this value represents the fraction of the total infrared luminosity arising from star formation, while it corresponds to the total IR luminosity otherwise (see Delvecchio et al. 2017).
SFR_KENN98 double M_sun/yr Star formation rate obtained from the total infrared luminosity listed in column (15), by assuming the Kennicutt (1998) conversion factor, and scaled to a Chabrier (2003) IMF.
Xray_AGN char X-ray AGN
MIR_AGN char MIR AGN
SED_AGN char SED AGN
Quiescent_MLAGN char Quiescent MLAGN
SFG char Star forming galaxy
Clean_SFG char Clean SFG
HLAGN char HLAGN
MLAGN char MLAGN
Radio_excess char Radio excess
flag_COSMOS2015 int COSMOS2015 masked area flag: 1 if true, 0 otherwise
