Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) data access using IRSA's general search service was decommissioned in fall 2007.

IRSA's Finder Chart service has access to quick SDSS data cutouts. It is a visualization tool that allows cross-comparison of images from various surveys of different wavelengths and different epochs.

SDSS data can also be accessed using the IRSA and NVO image mosaic service. Using a simple browser interface, the service returns science-grade mosaics that (a) preserve fluxes and astrometry and (b) rectify backgrounds to a common level.
