GLIMPSEII v1.0 Image Delivery - May 2007 - 1.1 x 0.8 deg mosaics This is SSC version S12.4 processing of the GLIMPSEII data taken in September 2005 (epoch1). 1.1 deg x 0.8 deg Mosaic images of l=5.95 to 10.05 deg and l=349.95 to 354.05 deg b= +-1.15 deg of the GLIMPSEII SURVEY region; 0.6" pixels Each mosaic fits file is about 128 MBytes. jpeg files are around 350 KBytes per file. Each mosaic fits file has an associated .hdr file which contains the fits header from the fits file and additional information about the individual frames included in the mosaic image. For example, the associated .hdr file for GLM_00650+0075_mosaic_I1.fits is GLM_00650+0075_mosaic_I1.hdr. ######################################################################################### NOTE These mosaics were originally delivered in March 2007. We are re-delivering these mosaics with a few changes to the fits header (and .hdr file). The images have not been changed, nor have the 3-color jpegs. In the new fits header we clarified the exposure time information and added a keyword, NEXPOSUR, which gives the *typical* number of exposures that went into the mosaic image. For the v1.0 GLIMPSEII data, NEXPOSUR=2. There are areas where the actual number of exposures is 1 (near the edge of the survey coverage) and greater than 2 (overlaps between AORs) but the number of visits for the vast majority of the September 2005 epoch 1 data is 2.
