EXPLANATION
Working theory is that the very bright accidental source in Blue
PU caused a transient in the median level of the array. The
magnitude of the transient exceeded the CR threshold, so all pixels
were marked as proton hits. Only the ACQ was afflicted, as the
transient had diminished by the SS image.
