IRSA Image Server

The IRSA Image Server provides low-level, program friendly methods for querying astronomical image metadata tables, including support for the IVOA's Simple Image Access protocol, Simple Spectral Access protocol, and Table Access Protocol . Images, image cutouts, and spectra are available for direct download (e.g. via wget or curl), and are laid out in browsable directories.

LinkDescription
IVOA Simple Image Access (SIA) v2 queries Search imaging products served by IRSA using Virtual Observatory-based program-friendly commands.
Query to retrieve metadata columns or a list of image URLs that satisfy a variety of possible constraints.
IVOA Simple Spectral Access (SSA) queries Search spectral products served by IRSA using Virtual Observatory-based program-friendly commands.
Query to retrieve metadata columns or a list of spectra URLs that satisfy a variety of possible constraints.
Image cutouts Given a list of image URLs (e.g. the output of an SIA query), retrieve a cutout from that image.
IVOA Table Access Protocol (TAP) queries Search catalogs served by IRSA using Virtual Observatory-based program-friendly commands.
Query a specified catalog to retrieve the rows that satisfy a variety of possible constraints.
Metadata schemas List of information available for each of IRSA's image and spectral data sets.
