Overview

The "Surveying the Agents of Galaxy Evolution in the Tidally-Disrupted, Low-Metallicity Small Magellanic Cloud" (SAGE-SMC) dataset is a Spitzer Legacy survey of the SMC (~30 d^2) using IRAC and MIPS with the goal of studying dust in the ISM, winds of evolved stars, and its relation to star formation. The warm mission program "An Infrared Survey of Variability in the Magellanic Clouds" (SAGE-Var) further used four epochs of IRAC imaging to probe variability in the bar of each of the galaxies.

If you use SAGE-SMC data, please cite the journal articles Gordon et al. (2011) for the survey and Riebel et al. (2015) for SAGE-Var catalogs, as well as the dataset Digital Object Identifier (DOI): 10.26131/IRSA431.
