Planck Public Data Release 2 Maps
Maps split into half rings
Half-ring maps are built using only the first or the second half of each stable pointing period data. There are thus two half-ring maps per frequency channel, named ringhalf-1 and ringhalf-2. These maps are useful for noise characterization and null tests. The difference between the two half-ring maps at a given frequency can be used to estimate the high frequency noise in the data.
The Pink cells indicate maps with polarization data, while the Blue cells are the maps with no polarization data.
