NHSC Workshop: Herschel Open Time 2 Data Processing

September 10-14, 2012

Caltech, Keith Spalding Building, 4th Floor

Pasadena, CA

This data processing workshop was intended for new users of Herschel and for those who needed a refresher course on Herschel data reduction techniques. We concentrated on an overview of the Herschel Interactive Processing Environment (HIPE) through presentations and demos. The workshop included some hands-on sessions in which the participants ran scripts and GUI-based tasks on test data provided. The workshop agenda is described below.

HIFI Workshop, Sept. 12-13, 2012

The HIFI team at the NHSC hosted a data processing workshop on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 September 2012. The agenda given below has links to all presentations and scripts. It was targeted to new users and users that wanted to refresh their memory about HIFI calibration and data reduction. The workshop was held in parallel with the SPIRE data processing workshop and some sessions were common. Participants stayed on Friday 14 September as well to work on their own data, with help from HIFI instrument scientists.
